Porto is a large city in the northwest of Portugal. It’s located near the coast and is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. Stunning Bridges
Located along the Duoro River which leads out to the sea, Porto looks very picturesque. Dotted along this river are some incredible bridges which are very impressive examples of some beautiful architecture and engineering.
Ribeira District
This medieval area is a beautiful sight to see and lovely to simply wander around. The cobbled streets are winding and narrow and dotted with brightly colored buildings, cozy bars, and traditional restaurants.
Food and Drink
The port wine produced here is world-famous and there are places all across the city which are perfect for sipping on this delicious drink with some tasty food to accompany it. Fish and meat are a big feature of the cuisine here, along with delicious sandwiches.
Churches and Cathedral
If you enjoy some beautiful, historical architecture then Porto is perfect. Its stunning cathedral is well worth a visit, and you’ll constantly find yourself stumbling on amazing old churches.
