The majority of the tallest buildings in Japan can be found in Tokyo, which is home to some of the most impressive towers and skyscrapers in the world.
Here are three of the most imposing structures you can spot while admiring the beautiful skyline of the Japanese capital.
Tokyo Skytree
At the full height of 2,080 ft. (634.0 meters), Tokyo Skytree is currently the tallest tower in the world, and the second tallest structure overall after the Burj Khalifa. It primarily serves as a television and radio broadcast site, but it’s also a popular tourist attraction thanks to its observation deck.
Tokyo Tower
Tokyo’s second-tallest structure is extremely reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower, but in vibrant white and orange shades due to air safety regulations. It features two impressive observation decks, and approximately 150 million tourists walk through its doors every year.
Toranomon Hills
Toranomon Hills is Tokyo’s tallest skyscraper, but you won’t see countless tourists flocking around it. This complex mostly consists of offices and private apartments. The luxurious Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills hotel also takes up several of its floors.
