The 3 Best Camping Sites in Croatia

It’s a weird time for traveling right now. Depending on where you live in the world, you may or may not be able to visit the locations we write about. Even if you don’t get to travel much this year, it’s always fun to plan ahead for future adventures. Here are our favorite campgrounds in Croatia that you can visit when you get the chance and we promise it will be worth the wait!

Istria

Istria is a Croatian peninsula located near Slovenia and Italy. It’s one of the largest camping regions in the country. The sea that surrounds Istria is the warmest in Europe and s 1/3 of the region is covered with pine forests. 50 of its beaches have a Blue Flag. There are 26 camps to choose from and most of them are located near Umag, Porec, Rovinj, and Pula.

Kvarner

Kvarner is considered one of the best camping regions in Europe. With 28 Blue Flag beaches and plenty of camps to choose from, it’s a place where anyone can have a perfect vacation. Kvarner region includes wonderful islands of Krk, Cres, Losinj, and Rab which you can explore while there.

Dalmatia

If you get a chance, don’t miss camping in the Dalmatia region. It will reward you with beautiful nature, a mild Mediterranean climate, and excellent wines. Most of its 20 campsites are located near large cities of Dubrovnik, Zadar, Split, and Sibenik.
