Nice, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez are usually the first cities that come to mind when someone mentions the French Riviera. But this mesmerizing Mediterranean coastline has much more to offer, and here are a few cities that don’t get as much attention as they should.

Menton

Menton is located close to the Italian border and it’s the perfect place to experience two cultures at once. The thriving citrus trees take center stage in this charming city, and its beachfront homes and buildings are bursting with color all year long.

Hyères

A visit to Hyères can turn into an adventure of a lifetime, especially if you decide to explore the islands of the Iles d’Hyères during your visit. Porquerolles and the Ile du Levant are the biggest hits with tourists, but they all have their charms.

Port Grimaud

Often described as the “Venice of Provence”, this delightful tiny town is strongly inspired by the Venetian canals, and it will win you over with its colorful canal-side buildings. It’s safely tucked away between Saint-Tropez and Sainte-Maxime but offers a much more relaxing experience.
