Denmark has many museums in every city so no matter where you go, you can visit one. From the Viking Age to contemporary art, every museum tells a different story and you’ll love every part of it. 

Kunsten Museum of Modern Art 

With exhibitions that often address social and political issues, this museum welcomes the audience in criticizing. Kunsten is the home of 4,000 art pieces from the 20th century and often hosts lectures, concerts, and even film screenings. It was recently renovated and now has a sculpture park and a large terrace. 

The National Museum of Denmark 

This is the perfect place to learn the history of Denmark and is also the largest museum in the country. Located in Copenhagen, you can see permanent collections but also interesting temporary exhibitions. You can learn a lot for the prehistory of the country, as well as the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.  

National Gallery of Denmark 

Considered to have the largest collection of art, this is definitely a place you must see. It covers a period of 700 years of art and displays masterminds like Picasso, Braque, Matisse, and Derain. You can also see European art from 1300-1800 with paintings from Mantegna, Rembrandtת and Cranach.
