If you are a fan of J.K Tolkein’s Middle Earth, heading to the Hobbit Resort is a must during your trip to Thailand.
The resort is located north of Bangkok in a city called Nakhon Ratchasima. Here, you will find a resort modeled entirely on Tolkien’s shire. You can even stay the night in your own hobbit house complete with a round door and all of the charming touches of Bilbo’s cozy home. Even the furniture is picked out to match the furnishing in the film.
If you don’t want to stay the night, you can enter the resort for a small fee to take photographs. There are many additional areas modeled on other fairy tales and fantasy worlds.
You can dress up like a princess or a pirate, post in front of a castle, and even sit on the Iron Throne. There is also a whole selection of fantasy props including Gandolf’s staff and plenty of toy swords.
In a five star TripAdvisor review, one person wrote: “Our family had the largest hobbit house which was actually 3 connecting houses so there was ample space. it was also designed and furnished in a way very close to the movie. it was a most memorable stay. we also enjoyed the cosplay the following morning! We made a wonderful choice staying here.”
