If you have a chance to visit England, you’re probably overwhelmed with the number of cool things you can see there. Here are some of the places that you shouldn’t miss if possible!

A Walk Through London

The best way to get to know London is to walk around the city. Start at Westminster Abbey and Big Ben, then go to Buckingham Palace and along the River Thames all the way to the London Eye. You can see most of the tourist attractions in one day if you make a good plan and stick to it.

Harry Potter Studios

If you’re a Harry Potter fan, don’t miss a tour through the studios where the movies were filmed. You can see the famous scenes, props, and learn more about how the movies were made.

Stonehenge

There are daily buses that will take you to see one of the biggest monuments in England and Stonehenge is definitely something you shouldn’t miss!

To celebrate the winter solstice, last year we partnered with @englishheritage for a blog all about the shortest day of the year. 🌞 In the Northern hemisphere, the winter solstice takes place on or around 21 December each year. It’s the moment when the northern half of the planet is tilted at its furthest point away from the Sun. The sun is at its lowest point in the sky giving us the shortest day and the longest night of the year. 🌞 As people gather tomorrow morning (22 December) to watch the Sun rising over Stonehenge, English Heritage curator Heather Sebire tells us the significance of the winter solstice and the role of the Sun in this important event.
