Karachi is one of the most underrated Asian cities, but it has a lot to offer to those eager to explore it. Here’s a couple of places with a rich cultural heritage you should check out in the most populous city of Pakistan.

Mohatta Palace

Mohatta Palace was built as the summer home for the businessman it was named after, and its construction was completed in 1927. It was later transformed into a museum devoted to the arts of Pakistan and went on to become one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

Mazar-e-Quaid

The National Mausoleum of Pakistan is the final resting place of the country’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It’s one of the most iconic and visited symbols of Karachi, and its modern white marble structure is instantly recognizable.

Frere Hall

Frere Hall is one of the best examples of British colonial-era architecture in the Pakistani capital. It was intended to serve as Karachi’s town hall when it was built in 1865 but eventually became an exhibition space and library.
