You can now travel between London and Amsterdam by train.

If you’ve ever been to Europe, you’ll know that London and Amsterdam are two of the most popular tourist cities to explore. London is a cosmopolitan dream and Amsterdam has some of Europe’s best nightlife and alternative culture.

The trouble is, getting a flight from Amsterdam to London is usually pricey. Getting the coach is a much cheaper alternative, but the journey typically takes a minimum of ten hours, and more likely twelve.

Drumroll please… From 11 February, you can book tickets on our new direct return train service from London to…

Now, Eurostar has launched a train line that goes directly between the two capital cities. Prices start from as little as £35 ($45) and the entire journey takes just over four hours.

The official Eurostar website promises: “Swapping canals and cyclists for Royal parks and pubs has never been easier. Go from the heart of Amsterdam to the center of London direct in just 4 hours 09 minutes.”

The news is not only great in terms of cost and convenience. It’s also great news for the environment. When you choose to travel by Eurostar over plane, you emit 80% less carbon into the atmosphere. So that’s great news too.
