Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Has the City’s Best Attractions

Baltimore, Maryland has one of America’s oldest seaports and the recently-renewed Inner Harbor is home to the city’s best attractions. There’s something for everyone at the Inner Harbor—everything from museums, and restaurants to concerts and waterfront activities. Here are some attractions you shouldn’t miss at the Inner Harbor.

National Aquarium

Baltimore’s National Aquarium has over 20,000 animals representing 700 species and it’s one of the city’s most visited attractions. The exhibits include a multi-story Atlantic coral reef, an open ocean shark tank, a tropical rainforest, a glass pavilion with Australian wildlife, and a mammal pavilion that has Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.

Maryland Science Center

Across the harbor from the Aquarium is the Maryland Science Center which has three floors of science with hand-on exhibits of the human body, solar system, Earth science, and more.

Harborplace and the Gallery

Harborplace and the Gallery are the names of the two-pavilion complex with retail and dining options. The best time to go is when the weather is nice, so you can enjoy the bands that play along the waterfront.

Power Plant Live!

This entertainment complex with bars, clubs, and restaurants hosts concerts and it’s where the nightlife happens. Escape rooms, indoor axe-throwing, and beer gardens are just some of the fun things Power Plant Live! offers.

Port Discovery

This children’s museum is designed for kids under 10 and the main attraction is the four-story jungle gym. Kids will enjoy getting creative while exploring the world around them.
