5 Unique Ways Coffee is Prepared Around the World

What’s your favorite way to prepare coffee? The answer may vary depending on where you live. Different countries have different ways to make this popular beverage and the reasons vary from the ingredients that were available in the past to the things people prefer for flavor and texture.

In the video below, published by Great Big Story, we see five different cultures and their unique ways of making coffee. In Mexico, we see a woman making Café de Olla, which is coffee with panela (unrefined sugar), cinnamon, and orange peel.

Ethiopians show us their traditional hand-roasted Jimma coffee beans that are perfect for a big pot of coffee that gathers neighbors together. A Swedish woman enjoys a cup of coffee with homemade cheese outside, while Vietnamese café owner shows us their famous egg coffee.

In Turkey, seeing coffee prepared in traditional pots on hot sand is not unusual, just like this vendor shows us.
