There’s a fierce competition to get your business in the travel industry. Some airlines have started offering free stopovers to woo their customers. This allows you to see perhaps another country on your way to your destination. In fact, “stopovers” are up by 90 percent on Pinterest.

Foodie tourism

Eating local is always part of exploring another country, but now some travelers are going the extra mile by planning their entire itineraries around food.

Once again, searches for ‘food guides’ and ‘wine trips’ are up 207 and 199 percent respectively on Pinterest.
