Halaszbastya

Restored after World War II, this castle offers tremendous views over the Danube. You can climb one of the seven fairytale-like towers to see a birds-eye view of Budapest. Described as a national treasure, this World Heritage Site is not to be missed.

Széchenyi Thermal Bath

Szechenyi houses the largest medicinal thermal bath in Europe. Designed in a Neo-Baroque style, this elegant spar will quieten your mind. St. Stephen’s Basilica

This church is recognizable by its impressive 300 feet Neo-Renaissance-style dome. Still practicing religious worship, this site is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Hungary. View the intricate architecture from the square in front of the main entrance. It is worth climbing the 364 steps to the top of the dome, for great views over the city.

Hungarian State Opera House

Located in Budapest, this opera house is filled with history and culture. Join a tour to learn more about the design and intricacies of this impressive building. This opera house is known for hosting the Nutcracker Suite and boasts the third best acoustics in the whole of Europe.

Dohány Street Synagogue

This synagogue is the largest in Europe, seating up to 3,000 people. Although pretty much destroyed by the Nazi occupation, the site has been fully restored to its former glory. There is a lot to visit here, so make sure you take the time to go to the Temple, Museum, Cemetery and Holocaust Memorial Park. The synagogue itself contains some of the most impressive geometric frescoes in Hungary.
