Known as one of the music capitals of the United States, especially when it comes to the country genre, Nashville, Tennessee has plenty to offer tourists both including and beyond country music. Here are three things you won’t want to miss when you visit.

Honky Tonk Highway

You can’t go to Nashville and not stop by one of the bars known for playing country music. And there’s no better place for them than the famed Honky Tonk Highway, a strip of bars that are open from 10 am to 3 am and don’t charge covers. Plus, most of them are family-friendly in the daytime hours.

The Bluebird Cafe

Nashville is known as the place to go for musicians trying to make a name for themselves in the music industry, and the Bluebird Cafe is famous for being a place for up-and-comers to showcase their music. It’s truly iconic, with stars like Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, and Faith Hill all having played there.

The Parthenon

If you need a break from all the country, you can visit the world’s only full-scale replica of the ancient Greek temple in Athens, the Parthenon. The one in Nashville functions as a museum, hosting a collection of Impressionist paintings dating from 1765 to 1923.
