After watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory we dreamed of one day visiting a chocolate factory as magical as Willy Wonka’s and as it turns out, such a place actually exists. Lindt Home of Chocolate opened in Zurich, Switzerland this past September and it’s a chocolate lover’s dream.

The Lindt & Sprüngli factory has sat in Kilchberg, Zurich since 1899 and the Lindt Home of Chocolate has been a project seven years in the making to compliment the historic building and to serve chocolate lovers across the world.

While visiting the interactive museum, guests will be taken through “seven chocolate worlds” that shows everything from the cultivation of the cocoa bean to the production of the chocolate. Visitors will learn about the history of Swiss chocolate making and of course about Lindt chocolate.

Other attractions include a chocolate making class, a look into the research facility of Lindt, a Praline Tasting Room, and a Lindt cafe. The building also has the world’s largest Lindt chocolate shop and the world’s largest chocolate fountain. The chocolate fountain stands at about 30 feet tall and it’s found at the entrance of the museum.
