Wintertime, spring, summer or fall, dim sum at Yank Sing is the best you can get in San Francisco year-round.

As soon as you enter, you’re courteously welcomed with a warm smile and usually get a table within minutes, even when there’s a waiting list. The dining room seats over 30 tables at once. Several food servers with dim sum carts offer you over 60 dishes which are freshly made every day.

You can start with shrimp dim sum, red cabbage salad with candied walnuts, honey glazed BBQ pork buns, Peking duck, and a warm eggplant salad.

Shanghai Dumplings are a specialty at Yank Sing. These are dumplings filled with minced Kurobuta pork, scallion, and ginger wrapped and steamed in an aromatic broth.

The stuffed Crab Claw is to die for,  it’s a light and fluffy crab and shrimp mousse croquette encasing a whole snow crab claw,  and deep-fried. On the lighter side, the iceberg lettuce cup offers minced chicken, sauteed with diced water chestnuts, garnished with pine nuts, bamboo shoots, and spring onions.
