There are over 200 countries in the world, but today we are going to tell you about the tiniest ones and assure you that size really doesn’t matter.

Palau

The Republic of Palau is an island country composed of 300 islands of different sizes. Palau is one of the most amazing places on Earth – its rainforests are full of unique plants and birds and its waters are inhabited by 130 endangered sharks. But the most unique thing in this country is the lake that has more than 2 million jellyfish in it, which in time have lost the ability to sting!

Niue

Niue is another small island state with beautiful landscapes. But despite this, tourism is not very popular here, so the country relies heavily on foreign aid, most notably from New Zealand. The capital is just a small village with a population of 600 people. The island has its own airport and supermarket, the only one in the country.

Visit this country for the remarkable beaches, and snorkeling.

Nauru

This is the smallest independent republic and the smallest state on the planet. Nauru has no capital and no transport system, so the entire population moves around the country in their own vehicles.

Visit Command Ridge, a beautiful peak with WWII artifacts.
