Europe is an amazing continent with a huge variety of people and cultures and a broad range of landscapes. Czechia, also known as the Czech Republic, is a landlocked country in central Europe. Its capital city Prague is a popular destination for vacations and traveling, but once you leave the towns and cities the Czech countryside is pretty spectacular. The Krkonoše National Park is a stunning mountain range in the north, and here’s why you should plan a trip there.
A Unique Natural Place
This mountain range is the highest in Czechia, with its tallest mountain Sněžka standing at 1603 meters and offering incredible views from the top. There are other incredible hikes to take to experience the beauty of these mountains, with relaxed trails through the forest or treks across wildflower meadows, as well as thrilling ridge walks and steep, rocky ascents.
Amazing Connection With Water
There is a popular trail for hiking which takes you to the Labský důl Valley where you will find a natural spring. This is the source of one of the biggest rivers in Czechia, the Elbe River, and is a magical place to visit. Within this valley region, you’ll also find Czechia’s highest waterfall, the Pančavský Waterfall which has a drop of 250 meters.
Perfect Any Time of the Year
This national park is super popular in the winter months with skiers and other snow sports enthusiasts due to the deep snow and perfect slopes. However, if you head here in Summer or Spring you can enjoy the luscious greenery and fresh life, and in fall you can witness the turning of the seasons and the colorful trees.
