We’re a month into 2021 and the Covid-19 pandemic is still far from over. Some countries are more in trouble than others so the restrictions vary depending on where you live. When it comes to traveling to Asia from the U.S., here are your options at the moment.

Maldives

International travelers have been able to get to the Maldives since July 2020, with a negative Covid-19 test as the only condition. It’s possible to get picked randomly for a PCR test once you arrive at the airport.

UAE

U.S. citizens traveling to the UAE receive tourist visas as they arrive at the airport. A negative PCR test is mandatory, though, as well as international medical travel insurance.

Turkey

Similar conditions apply when traveling to Turkey. The arriving travelers are screened for Covid and they need proof that they are Covid-19 negative not older than 72 hours.

Other Asian countries that are open to travelers from the U.S. include Nepal, Jordan, South Korea, Bangladesh, and Cambodia.
