If you want to have a true Italian experience like in the movies, you should visit some smaller, yet beautiful cities, because Italy isn’t just Rome, Venice, Naples… it is much more than that.

Ostuni

Ostuni is a small town located just a couple of minutes from the Adriatic Sea. It is placed on a top of a hill and it has been inhabited since the Stone Age. Thanks to the beautiful white walls and the white painted architecture, it bears the name “White city.” Except the tasty Italian wine and the organic olive oil, Ostuni is most famous for its centuries-old Roman Catholic cathedral.

Manarola

A small fishing town colored in beautiful bright colors, carved into the wall of stone along the Mediterranean coast. Located in northern Italy, Manarola will fascinate you with romantic walking trails through the Italian vineyards. The name of the town originates from Latin and it refers to “large wheel” which can be seen in the town.

Alberobello

Stepping into the city of Alberobello is like stepping into a fairy tale. The Trulli houses, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage since 1996 are built from dry stone with a conical roof. Painted in white and decorated with flowers and green, these romantic houses are used as hotels, restaurants, little snack bars and snack-shops.
