Europe is one of the most popular and beloved continents to travel in, and yet for some reason most tourists go to the same countries over and over again. And while they are certainly beautiful countries with a lot to offer, so are many of the other more overlooked countries in Europe. So here are just a few that you should know are worth a visit.

Montenegro

A Balkan country on the Adriatic sea bordered by Albania and Serbia, Montenegro is not nearly as popular as it should be for its beautiful mountains, stunning beaches, and thriving local life. It’s small, but mighty, with plenty of history to offer as well as some gorgeous nature.

Faroe Islands

Located in the ocean between Iceland and Norway, the Faroe Islands are blissfully peaceful, missing the crowds of its Nordic neighbors. But they still have so much to offer visitors, like lots of sheep to look at, gorgeous skylines with quaint, painted houses, unbelievable views of volcanic mountains, and stunning waterfalls.

Malta

One of the more overlooked Mediterranean islands, Malta can give you all of the sand, sea, sun, and beaches that Greece and Cyprus can but with a fraction of the tourists.
