While many people see the Bahamas as a romantic getaway ideal for honeymoons, the Caribbean country is the perfect family-friendly getaway. Between the beaches, pristine waters, and more than 700 islands, there are endless things to do in the Bahamas, making it a vacation you and your kids can look forward to. Here are three family-friendly things to do in the Bahamas.

Aquaventure Water Park

Located on Paradise Island this 141-acre water park transports you into a fantasy world built like the lost city of Atlantis. There are water slides themed on Mayan pyramids and jungles, a lazy river, and swimming pools.

Pirates of Nassau Museum

Not far from Aquaventure Water Park is Pirates of Nassau Museum, which has replica pirate ships and the history of pirates including “Black” Sam Bellamy and “Blackbeard” Edward Teach and their woman counterparts like Anne Bonny and Mary Read.

Sea Squirts

Atlantis Paradise Island hosts Sea Squirts, which is a one-hour program designed for children ages three to six years old. During the interactive marine program, kids will participate in marine activities and they can hand-feed fish and baby stingrays. They’ll go home with a keepsake swim shirt.
