Las Vegas is one of the most fun cities in America and possibly the world, where you can indulge in all of the partying, casinos, and excess that your heart desires, plus some really great shows and a surprisingly high number of exotic animals. But it’s also an easy place to get yourself into trouble, so here are some tips that will help you stay safe next time you go to Vegas.

Watch Your Pockets

With the combination of lots of cash and hapless tourists from around the world, Las Vegas is a pickpocket’s favorite spot. So be vigilant and careful about where you keep your wallet, and have an eye on your belongings at all times. As long as you don’t look like an easy target, you won’t be one, so look alive.

Stay in Touch

While you’re in Vegas, it’s a good idea to always keep your phone on you, make sure your friends know your whereabouts, and stay in contact.

Trust Your Gut

There’s no shortage of shady stuff going on in Vegas, so stay alert and trust your instincts. If you end up in an area with lots of broken street lights, boarded-up houses, and broken glass on the streets, it’s a good idea to head out.
