Everyone had their favorite Barbie, but if yours was Malibu, we have some excellent news.
If you ever wished that you could dine in Barbie’s dream house, now’s your chance, thanks to Bucket Listers. The events company is embracing everything pink and opening up Barbie pop-up cafés to celebrate the new movie. As if we weren’t excited enough!
Although Malibu Barbie has been the inspiration, the 1970s-style restaurant won’t actually be appearing on the west coast. New York City and Chicago have been chosen as the hotspots, so expect beachy vibes in the Big Apple and Windy City.
“Bucket Listers is honored to bring The Malibu Barbie Cafe to life,” said Andy Lederman, the CEO and Founder of Bucket Listers. “We pride ourselves on creating exclusive experiences for our community of 15 million fans, concepts they won’t find anywhere else. Barbie has proven to be one of history’s ultimate icons, we just couldn’t pass up this chance to bring her world to life.”
What would Barbie eat at her Malibu café? Pacific Paradise Pancakes, West Coast Wave Wedge Salad, and a California Dreamin’ Club Sandwich, of course. Thankfully that is what MasterChef semi-finalist, Becky Brown, has put on the menu.
You can check out the Malibu Barbie Café in New York City from May 17 and in Chicago from June 7.
