If you are an adventurous eater, you should definitely travel to find these bizarre street food items.

Balut

Balut is a delicacy from the Philippines, but you can find it in many Southeast Asian countries. Balut, from the outside, looks like a regular egg. But, on the inside, you will find something strange-looking that definitely is not an egg. This is because balut is actually a fertilized duck embryo, which means it is almost a baby duck. Though it sounds bizarre, it really just tastes like a funky chicken which a lot of people love.

Mopane Worms

If you ever go to Zimbabwe, you will probably see these critters being served on the street and eaten all over. The Mopane worm is usually deep-fried to get really crispy, and some people also say they taste like chicken.

Scorpion

Though most people would not want to run into a scorpion in real life if you walk through the streets of cities in China like Beijing, you shouldn’t be surprised to find scorpions on a stick. Some people say they taste like bugs, and some people say like nuts, but no matter what, it is definitely an unusual item.
