The Stunning Canadian Rockies Are a Must See

The Rocky Mountains usually inspire pictures of tall, snow-covered peaks. This mountain range actually cuts through most of North America, and perhaps the nicest part is in Canada.

Located in Alberta, Banff and Jasper National Parks make up what is known as the Canadian Rockies. They are consistently ranked the most visited parks in Canada, and for the right reason. With amazing skiing in the winter, incredible hiking and camping in the summer, and year-round views and wildlife second to none, there is a reason so many people make the trek out to Alberta to see nature at its finest.

Lake Louise with its turquoise water and the beautiful chateau is perhaps one of the most famous lakes in the world. Moraine Lake is also an incredible sight to see, and both are in Banff.

In Jasper, the Athabasca Glacier and falls, and Maligne Canyon are the most popular stops, but every view is incredible. If you have time to visit both parks, the Icefields Parkway connects the two and is known as the nicest parkway in the world. Bears, elk, and other wildlife are commonly sighted, along with plenty of pullouts to stop and take pictures.
