The longest flight in the world lasts around 18 hours and takes the passengers from Singapore to New York. Singapore Airlines temporarily canceled the route when the Covid-19 pandemic first broke, but it’s scheduled to relaunch on November 9th.

Before the flight was put on hold on March 23, it covered an incredible distance of 9,534 miles. After the relaunch, it will land in JFK airport instead of Newark, which will make the flight slightly longer at 9,536.5 miles.

The flight is scheduled to run three times per week. It has 187 economy seats, 24 premium economy, and 42 business class seats. However, Singapore still doesn’t allow people from most other countries to enter, with some exceptions.

The flight from Singapore to JFK will last for 18 hours and 5 minutes. The returning flight takes 18 hours and 40 minutes to arrive to Singapore thanks to the headwind. The jat lag from this flight is insane—you’d depart one day at 10:30 p.m New York time and arrive two days later at 6:10 a.m. Singapore time!

The passengers on the flight are required to wear masks all the time unless they’re eating or drinking. The crew will wear masks, gloves, and goggles.
