Traveling around the world is a dream of many people and some get to live the dream. One of them is Jeffrey Tsang, a Canadian sailor and photographer who’s been filming incredible videos to share details of life on the sea with the world. Below is one of his recent videos which shows a 2-week sail around the East Coast. 14 days of footage are condensed in this 10-minute video that will take you on a unique journey.

In order to make this video, Tsang had to take over 60,000 images along with 500GB of video files. “After transiting Panama Canal, our ship cross the Caribbean Sea into the Atlantic Ocean and arrive at New York, Savannah then Charleston. The timelapse was taken over a span of 15 days, some less interesting parts were speed up or faded out (cargo work, daylight hours with no clouds). Most night shots were done on 25-second shutter speed at 30 seconds interval, with port arrivals and departures at 4~8s interval,” he wrote in the description.

You can find many more amazing videos on Tsang’s Youtube channel. He has almost half a million followers and it’s clear why. His videos offer a unique insight into the life of a sailor and that’s something most of us can’t experience in any other way.

Some people use their leisure time to travel while others do it as a part of their work. Billions of people around the world enjoy traveling and exploring other parts of our planet, and one of them found a way to connect travel to her other passion—dance.

Nejla Yatkin is a professional dancer and choreographer who traveled to 20 countries to dance in public places. Her performances are breathtaking and they’re now a part of the video called Dancing Around the World that you can watch below.

Dancing in public spaces is a beautiful way to be present with your surroundings, as Yatkin says in the video. By being present with the place, yourself, and others, you slowly shift the energy around you. Because you start paying attention to the environment, by opening up all your senses to that place, you start engaging with the environment through your movement and other people who pass by are surprised and awaken by that daydream and they might see something new.

“Two years ago I embarked on a journey of a lifetime with Dancing Around the World when I visited 19 countries to take dance to the people, but also to discover why people dance. In each location we created site-specific performances with local dancers to make it more accessible to people, and we documented the experience through short videos, interviews, and group workshops,” she wrote on her website.

Over the past few decades, the popularity of tourism has only been increasing and it doesn’t intend to stop any time soon. More and more people want to visit major tourist locations and we’re now facing some consequences we didn’t think about before.

One of the biggest factors of the sudden rise of traveling popularity is Instagram and other social platforms that allow people to share their trips and to gain followers through those experiences. Suddenly, everyone wants to have a photo in front of the Eiffel Tower or in front of the Taj Mahal or at the Louvre. And no matter how many times we’ve seen the photos before, the new angles and new people in front of these sights always leave us wanting more and wanting to visit those places ourselves. Additionally, we’re seeing the rise of low-cost airlines and cheap accommodations that allow billions of people to afford traveling around the world.

This can be a real problem since those and many more sites are today overcrowded with people at any given moment. To see what other problems tourism causes, watch the video below.

What’s your favorite way to prepare coffee? The answer may vary depending on where you live. Different countries have different ways to make this popular beverage and the reasons vary from the ingredients that were available in the past to the things people prefer for flavor and texture.

In the video below, published by Great Big Story, we see five different cultures and their unique ways of making coffee. In Mexico, we see a woman making Café de Olla, which is coffee with panela (unrefined sugar), cinnamon, and orange peel.

Ethiopians show us their traditional hand-roasted Jimma coffee beans that are perfect for a big pot of coffee that gathers neighbors together. A Swedish woman enjoys a cup of coffee with homemade cheese outside, while Vietnamese café owner shows us their famous egg coffee.

In Turkey, seeing coffee prepared in traditional pots on hot sand is not unusual, just like this vendor shows us.
