]]> Vienna is renowned for its café culture. Any tourist guide will tell you about the importance of coffee houses and the communities formed in them to the city’s life. They’re so important, in fact, that in 2011, Viennese Coffee House Culture was listed as “Intangible Cultural Heritage” by UNESCO.

Like many celebrated cultural phenomena, it can sometimes feel that the cafés in Vienna have become overpriced tourist traps with massive queues, giving the impression that the authenticity is gone.

One very central café is Aida Café Konditorei, serving Viennese classics at great prices, and its prime location 5 minutes’ walk from Vienna’s opera house.

Easily identified from the outside by its pink facade, Aida Café Konditorei’s interior is simple and cheerful with plain wooden furniture, decorated by the bright colors of pastries and baked treats.

While the decor may be simple, the cakes are anything but. They serve delicious cultural staples like the sachertorte, an Austrian chocolate cake; Apple Strudel with cream; and  Viennese Mozart Cake, alongside their excellent coffee or a cup of homemade Hot Chocolate, with or without rum.

There’s little more you can wish for when you sit at Aida Café Konditorei with a delicious cake. Trust us, we know.

]]> Some people think coffee is just coffee, and a cold drink is nothing more than a cold drink. But, at Cafe Levinsky 41 in Tel Aviv, it’s so much more than that. Instead of doing regular coffees and drinks, this cafe makes an old-fashioned type of soda by using coffee and other types of drinks mixed with soda water to create bubbly and delicious drinks!

The best part about this spot is that it’s right in the middle of the Levinsky Market, which is such a cool market with so many stalls of dried fruits, nuts, and more. Since the street is pretty small and there isn’t much place to sit, instead of sitting area there’s an old pick-up truck where they’ve put in places to sit! The truck is actually really sweet looking because they cover it in plants and flowers, which gives it a great ambiance.

Some of the drinks they make are super over the top in their garnishes, which makes the experience even better! And because they’re using just bubbly water with other mix-ins, it’s a lot healthier than traditional sodas. So the next time you’re in Tel Aviv, you have to check out this unusual cafe!

]]> Vienna is renowned for its café culture. Any tourist guide will tell you about the importance of coffee houses and the communities formed in them to the city’s life. They’re so important, in fact, that in 2011, Viennese Coffee House Culture was listed as “Intangible Cultural Heritage” by UNESCO.

Like many celebrated cultural phenomena, it can sometimes feel that the cafés in Vienna have become overpriced tourist traps with massive queues, giving the impression that the authenticity is gone.

One very central café is Aida Café Konditorei, serving Viennese classics at great prices, and its prime location 5 minutes’ walk from Vienna’s opera house.

Easily identified from the outside by its pink facade, Aida Café Konditorei’s interior is simple and cheerful with plain wooden furniture, decorated by the bright colors of pastries and baked treats.

While the decor may be simple, the cakes are anything but. They serve delicious cultural staples like the sachertorte, an Austrian chocolate cake; Apple Strudel with cream; and  Viennese Mozart Cake, alongside their excellent coffee or a cup of homemade Hot Chocolate, with or without rum.

There’s little more you can wish for when you sit at Aida Café Konditorei with a delicious cake. Trust us, we know.

]]> Some people think coffee is just coffee, and a cold drink is nothing more than a cold drink. But, at Cafe Levinsky 41 in Tel Aviv, it’s so much more than that. Instead of doing regular coffees and drinks, this cafe makes an old-fashioned type of soda by using coffee and other types of drinks mixed with soda water to create bubbly and delicious drinks!

The best part about this spot is that it’s right in the middle of the Levinsky Market, which is such a cool market with so many stalls of dried fruits, nuts, and more. Since the street is pretty small and there isn’t much place to sit, instead of sitting area there’s an old pick-up truck where they’ve put in places to sit! The truck is actually really sweet looking because they cover it in plants and flowers, which gives it a great ambiance.

Some of the drinks they make are super over the top in their garnishes, which makes the experience even better! And because they’re using just bubbly water with other mix-ins, it’s a lot healthier than traditional sodas. So the next time you’re in Tel Aviv, you have to check out this unusual cafe!
