Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban are the first places that come to mind when someone mentions South Africa, but how about Blyde River Canyon? This is one of South Africa’s most breathtaking attractions and the world’s third-largest canyon, and here are some of its biggest natural wonders.

Bourke’s Luck Potholes

One of South Africa’s most Instagrammable spots, Bourke’s Luck Potholes has to be seen to be believed. These cylindrical potholes were formed by water erosion and it’s truly amazing to observe the maze of whirling pools filled with water of varying colors.

The Three Rondavels

There’s something truly amazing about discovering unusual rock formations, and South Africa is home to quite a few. One of the most notable is called the Three Rondavels, and it consists of three grass-covered mountain peaks that resemble traditional African huts with their shape.

God’s Window

Amazing viewpoints are scattered all around the Blyde River Canyon, but none of them compares to God’s Window. As its name suggests, it offers one of the most heavenly views you could possibly ask for, and the Kruger National Park is even visible in the distance when the sky is clear.
