While we absolutely love traveling, one thing we’re less than thrilled about is getting sick when we arrive at our destination or home. There’s nothing worse than getting off an airplane and feeling under the weather, and unfortunately, it happens to us more often than not. But with these three tips, you can avoid getting sick after flying.

Drink Water

Before you even get on the plane and during your flight, stay hydrated. Do your best to avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol which will dehydrate you. Not only will drinking water help prevent you from getting sick, it will also make it less likely for you to have stomach issues, headaches, and fatigue.

Sanitize

Take a second to think about how many times you touch the armrest, air vents, tray table, and seatbelts. Well, they’re full of germs, so to prevent them from spreading, wash your hands before every meal and after your flight. Pack travel-size sanitizing cloths and hand sanitizer and wipe down the tray table before you eat.

Dental Hygiene

Just like your hands, your mouth is full of germs, so make sure to use germ-killing mouthwash and brush your teeth frequently.
