Calling all waffle lovers — Donkey wants to make you breakfast.

It was way back in 2001 that the chatty sidekick told his ogre friend, “We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I’m making waffles!” And now, 22 years later, Airbnb is giving you the chance to taste Donkey’s cooking.

The home-sharing platform is offering up to three people the opportunity to spend a weekend at Shrek’s Swamp in the hills of the Scottish Highlands. Covered in mud and moss, the spot once served as a safe haven for exiled fairytale creatures.

“Shrek’s Swamp is lovely. Just beautiful. The perfect place to entertain guests,” claims Donkey, who is hosting the stay. “You know what I like about it? Everything. The overgrown landscaping, the modest interiors, the nice boulders, all of it. I can’t wait for guests to experience this muddy slice of paradise for themselves.”

That experience will also include swapping stories around the fire, chilling in earwax candlelight, and enjoying some parfait. And, of course, don’t forget about the waffles!

The magical stay is scheduled for October 27 to 29, and won’t cost you a thing. Bookings open on October 13 at 6 PM (BST).
