Las Vegas’ younger sibling, Reno is known by its popular nickname “the biggest little city in the world”. Casinos and tourism are also booming in this city, but if you want to experience some culture during your visit, these three museums are a good place to start.

National Automobile Museum

Some of Reno’s most popular museums are weirdly specific, and that’s the case with this collection of over 200 vintage cars. Most of the vehicles on display were collected by the businessman William F. Harrah, and some of them once belonged to popular public figures, such as Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and John Wayne.

Nevada Museum of Art

Art lovers visiting Reno won’t be disappointed if they put this museum on their travel itinerary. Truly impressive both inside and out, the Nevada Museum of Art houses a collection of contemporary art and photography, with a special accent on environmentalism and the protection of nature.

The Discovery Museum

If you’re looking for a perfect museum to visit during a family trip to Reno, Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum is the place to be. This science and technology museum is best known for its interactive exhibits that people of all ages can enjoy.
