The past eleven months sure have been tough for those of us who love to travel. It has been tough to go places thanks to the ongoing global pandemic, and while staying at home is the right move, it can get boring after a while!

We’re always thinking of and planning ways to get into the travel mindset despite being at home, and one of the best activities over the past year has been travel-themed movie nights.

One of the best ways to discover the world without leaving your home is via movies and film. Whatever you watch doesn’t have to specifically focus on travel, but rather present a place on earth that is foreign and different than what you are familiar with.

Research movies that are set in a place that you have always wanted to go to, and get started planning a “virtual travel movie night!”

Whether it’s imagining that you are in Tokyo along with Lost in Translation or the Pacific Northwest with Sleepless in Seattle, you are sure to love this themed activity. You can also find decorations related to whatever place you will be “traveling” to or prepare a meal with regional cuisine that your destination has.

Wherever you end up, make sure to make the best of it and get lost on an adventure, even if it is just for one night.
