The Central American country of Panama is best known for its canal, which was built in order to link the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Located on an isthmus that connects North and South America, Panama is located in a privileged position that gives it access to some of the best beaches on the planet.

Here are a few beaches that you must visit on your next trip to Panama.

Playa Las Lajas

Las Lajas is a beach located in western Panama on the country’s Pacific beach. Here, you can find a miles-long stretch of undeveloped beach lined with palm trees. The sunsets here are unforgettable and spectacular as you watch the sun dip into the water.

Playa de Las Estrellas

This beach, known as “Starfish Beach” in its English translation, is a highlight. Why? Las Estrellas, spectacularly located on Colon Island in the Atlantic Ocean, features jungle vegetation as well as the opportunity to see loads of its namesake animals living in the beach’s crystalline waters.

Red Frog Beach

Red Frog Beach is located on Bastimentos Island in the Atlantic and combines the beauty of nature with developed tourist infrastructure. If you’re looking to get away but to have all of the comforts of home at hand, this is your beach!
