No Passport? No Problem! You Can Still Go to These Islands

If you do not do a lot of traveling or only travel within the US and you are a citizen, you might not have a need for a passport. But, if you want to get away from the mainland and see a new place and be surrounded by gorgeous water, you can still go to these islands!

Puerto Rico

Even though Puerto Rico feels like it should be it’s own country, it’s still a part of the US because it’s technically a territory. This means that you can visit it without having a passport, all you need is an id card! Puerto Rico has amazing scenery, a rainforest, and so much charming culture and cuisine. Because they have many Spanish influences, it feels like you are really in a different world.

U.S. Virgin Islands

The U.S. Virgin Islands are a group of Islands in the Caribbean. There are many islands within the group, but the main ones are St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. These islands have some of the best beaches and water in the world, and they are all within the U.S. control so you can go to any and all of them passport-free! There’s much to explore on each island, including national forests, sugar cane plantations, and more.
