Our planet is amazing! Everywhere you look you can find something new and exciting, but if you’re looking for that extra hit, read about some of the most spectacular places the Earth has to offer.
Moreau, New Zealand
These large, extraterrestrial round stones can be found on Koekohe Beach, in New Zealand. The ‘Moeraki stones’ were originally created at the bottom of the sea, by laying layers around the core, just like pearls around a particle of sand. Some of the rocks weigh several tons and are three meters wide.
The Blue Hole, Belize
The great blue hole in Belize is one of the most impressive natural beauties in the world. It’s 300 meters wide and about 150 feet deep, and was probably created by the sudden rise in water levels centuries ago. Divers report that the hole is packed with diverse wildlife – some of it still unknown to science and can only be found here.
Eye of Africa, Mauritania
From space, this mysterious hollow in the Sahara Desert in Mauritania really looks like a human eye. Some say that the eye was created after a meteor crashed into the ground, while others believe it to be a trace of an underground nuclear explosion. Whatever it is, it looks like a sci-fi movie scene.
