Everyone should visit Cape Town at least once in a lifetime. With so much to do and see, there’s no wonder it has been chosen as a top destination spot for leisure. Cape Town has something for everyone: a bustling night life, hiking, sightseeing and great wine.

The Colorful Area

The famous Bo-Kaap, formerly known as the Malay Quarter has rightfully earned worldwide popularity. Situated in the slopes of Signal Hill, the history of this area dates back to the 1760s, when numerous houses were built and rented to Malaysian, Indonesian and other African slaves. While on lease, the houses had to be painted white, however, when the slaves were allowed to buy the properties, they colored them bright as a meaning of freedom.

Perfect Weather

The Mediterranean climate is perfect if you can’t stand when your travel plans have to be restricted by the weather. In the summer, the temperature does not go above 30 and usually stays in the mid-20s. However, the winters can be wet, but even on the coldest days the thermometer do not shows temperatures below the mid-teens.

Great Wine

Cape Town’s amazing climate is a huge and essential factor in the creation of the perfect grape, and in turn wine. There is a quite long list of beautiful wineries and vineyards worth visiting. Another great thing is that the wine in this South African country often costs considerably less than elsewhere in the world.
