Looking to Travel Cheap and Well? The Travel Hack Can Help!

If there’s anything that limits our ability to travel, it’s usually money. While going outside of your home environment to find new corners of the globe is a fantastic experience, it’s sometimes simply too expensive for us to do with any type of frequency.

Fortunately for us, there is a wealth of resources online now that can help us to find out tips and tricks that make the costs of traveling go down. One resource that I find immensely helpful in the pursuit of money-saving while traveling is The Travel Hack.

This Instagram account is run by Monica, a travel blogger from the UK. She posts a wealth of interesting ideas that help travelers to save money while globe-trotting, all while having a great time and not limiting yourself.

While Monica sometimes doesn’t explicitly talk about how to save money on her Instagram account – instead she is sharing links to posts on her blog – her Instagram still shares plenty about under-the-radar and cheap destinations, as well as other various travel hacks.

I've got a confession to make. In recent years I've become a bit of a holiday snob. I hate admitting this because I really don't like holiday snobs – the kind of people who turn their nose up at certain destinations because they're too 'touristy' or too 'popular'. But do you know what, some places are popular for a reason and it's because they're flipping gorgeous. Getting off the beaten track is fun, but visiting the popular touristy places is just as good too. I didn't think I'd really love Tenerife. I thought it was just another seaside resort, all-inclusive, package-holiday destination. And it is this but it's also so much more. It's beautiful and there's lots to see and do, it's surprising and I felt like we were on a different island each day we were away. But one thing I liked best about Tenerife is that it's easy. It's easy to get there, easy to drive, easy to find things to do and easy for families thanks to all the resorts. It's really affordable, you're almost guaranteed sunshine and you can easily get by with just a little bit of 'Spanglish'. You know, where you use all the Spanish words you have and fill in the gaps with English. Holidays are meant to be easy and Tenerife turned out to be the perfect easy but adventurous island!
