Using a tripod is one of the only ways to get nice travel photos when you’re a solo traveler, but many people avoid it at all costs because it makes them uncomfortable. If you feel the same way, but want to overcome that feeling, here’s a couple of useful tips you should use.
Perfect Timing
Taking your tripod photos in a crowded place can be quite risky, and you might get a couple of strange looks along the way. The best time to do it is in the morning when the lighting is good and the crowds are small.
Take Your Time
Taking perfect photos with a tripod takes a lot of practice and patience, so don’t be hard on yourself if you don’t get it right the first time. You can practice at home and figure out how to use it before taking it on the road with you.
Right Frame
One of the most difficult parts of taking photos with a tripod is figuring out where to stand. Start things off by figuring out what you want in the frame, take a couple of test shots, and consider putting a placeholder in the frame so you’d know where to stand.
