How to Save Money on Public Transportation During Your Travels

Traveling on a budget and saving money on transportation go hand in hand, but your troubles are far from over after you’ve booked your flight. You’ll probably have to use public transportation during your trip, and here’s how you can save some extra money along the way.

Perfect Spot

You should have savings in mind when booking your accommodation and go with a hostel that’s centrally located. Everything you want to see is going to be close by, and you won’t have to spend money on public transportation every time you go out.

Walking Distance

You should also consider using your feet whenever you can, especially if your time to explore a new city isn’t extremely limited. In addition to being completely free, walking is a perfect opportunity to discover hidden spots you wouldn’t see otherwise.

Daily Tickets

If you have to use public transportation, plan to see several faraway spots at once, and buy a daily pass instead of buying separate tickets on every bus, metro, or tram that you board.
