Wild camping is becoming more and more popular, as people are wanting experiences that immerse them in nature and bring them back to basics. As enjoyable as this is, there are some tips to help it be as reviving as possible.

Don’t Underestimate the Cold

You may feel a good temperature during the day, but nighttime can bring on a sharp change. Make sure you sleep comfortably with a decent sleeping bag and roll mat.

Choose Your Spot Carefully

Practicalities such as wind shelter are important, but you should also consider things that will enhance your experience. Think about where the sun will set and angle your camping setup to ensure you have the best views.

Consider a Lightweight Stove

If you’re hiking long distances, this isn’t a great idea. But if you’ve only got a little way to travel then consider factoring this into your packing plans. Waking up in the wilderness can become luxurious when you’ve got a hot cup of coffee to enjoy.
