How The Stanley Hotel is Being Used During the Pandemic

If you’re a fan of Stephen King, then you’ve likely read or seen The Shining. The film centers around a real haunted hotel called The Stanley Hotel in Estes, Colorado. While guests have been able to stay at the hotel in recent years, the pandemic has forced it to shut its doors to normal guests and open them to some special ones.

Fighting Forest Fires

While the hotel has been shut due to the pandemic, The Stanley decided to open its doors to some very worthy guests. Hundreds of firefighters flocked to the hotel in October to stay, while they took shifts fighting the fires around Estes Park. They were assigned rooms and fed according to pandemic protocols. Nobody has yet to report any spooky goings on, but it’s probably just a matter of time.

Planning Your Trip to The Stanley

The Stanley Hotel may be hosting firefighters right now, but its doors will be opening for guests in the near future. They are running a skeleton staff, which can cater to a small number of guests who decide to brave the current weather conditions and protocols. This might just be one of the spookiest times to visit this very haunted hotel.
