Five Things to See In Salt Lake City, Utah

Utah is one of the most interesting states, both with its awe-inspiring natural wonders and its unique culture. The state’s capital, Salt Lake City, is definitely a must-visit and here are the top 5 things you shouldn’t miss while you’re there! 

Temple Square 

A center of the state, this famous square is one of the most popular places in Utah. The square boasts many attractions to be visited but the biggest one is the magnificent Salt Lake Temple.  

Sugar House  

This is one of the most unique neighborhoods in the city. A youngish and modern part of town, it will amaze you with its shops and popular places full of young people.  

Hogle Zoo 

The biggest Zoo in the state, this beautiful place spans over 42 acres at the start of the Emigration Canyon. The zoo is home to more than 800 animals and 250 different species!

The Living Planet Aquarium 

A great place to visit, especially with kids! This stunning aquarium hosts local water species, but also species from the world oceans and from South America.

Visiting the @lovelandlivingplanet Aquarium last week brought back so many memories for us! . We remembered snorkeling with baby Reef Sharks 🦈 as a family in Fiji, plus sea-snakes🐍 jellies, eels, and a whole world of fish 🐠. . We laughed at the memory of finding dozens of sea stars ⭐️ right before Crew fell into the tide pool in his clothes and then had to eat dinner at a Fijian restaurant in his undies. . As we walked through the South America exhibit we remembered the huge scarlet macaws 🦜 squawking and eating in the trees at our pool in Costa Rica and monkeys at the beach jumping from limb to limb. . We remembered almost stepping on Portuguese man-o-wars on the beach in Hawaii! . And walking down a rocky jetty in Australia and discovering colorful starfish ⭐️ below! And then walking down the pier and stumbling upon a penguin 🐧 conservation area! . In Taiwan we remembered finding puffer fish washed ashore on the beaches. . And most recently I remember holding Crew’s hand in the water as we snorkeled right on top of a huge sea turtle 🐢 in Hawaii. . These memories, and more, came flooding back as we walked among some of the amazing creatures of the earth. The Great Salt Lake 

Located north-west of the city, the Lake is one of the greatest attractions of the city as it’s a resident’s favorite place for outdoor activities. The Great Salt Lake has been declared to be a State Park.
