If you love to travel, you know how important earning points is. Depending on the airline, miles can be exchanged for cool perks like upgrading to more luxurious classes onboard, earning free nights at hotels, or just ensuring that you don’t have to pay so much out of pocket when booking a flight.

Points can be earned when shopping at certain stores, and even reaching daily fitness goals, but here is one hack that you probably haven’t heard of before.

Members of Delta’s SkyMiles club can earn themselves a bunch of points, simply if their luggage takes a little longer to arrive.

“We’re committed to providing you with reliable and on-time baggage service every time you fly,” Delta states on its website. “That’s why we’re backing your bags with a guarantee: if your checked bag doesn’t arrive at the carousel in 20 minutes or less after any domestic flight, you are eligible to receive 2,500 bonus miles.”

All you need to do to sign up for the 20-minute baggage policy is fill out a form online—and then cross your fingers that your bags take their sweet time!

Just remember, though, overweight luggage and special items don’t count; and Delta’s baggage tracking system will be monitoring.

If you do luck out, those 2,500 miles can be used on any of the airline’s routes within the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
