Kep is a city in Cambodia located in the southern part of the country. This region is famous for the islands off the mainland coast, the incredible seafood, and one special type of pepper called the Kampot pepper. This pepper can be very spicy or mild depending, but the flavor is very floral and a little citrusy. Just outside Kep is a special pepper farm called Sothy’s Pepper Farm, and if you are ever in the area, you need to go visit!

At Sothy’s Pepper Farm, you can take a tour of the farm and see how these peppers are grown and what the process is like. The farm not only has tours of the actual peppers, but there is a shop where you can buy some really delicious types of peppers that are made from the plants, and there’s even a restaurant on the premises too!

If you are a foodie, you should definitely do this experience because it’s so exciting to see where this unusual pepper grows and how they make it into some really wonderful products. But, even if you’re not a foodie, it’s so fascinating to see the fields and learn about the process.
