If you enjoy trying delicious street foods and buying tiny souvenirs at the local market, chances are you’re going to need cash. Most of these vendors don’t accept cards, and you’ll sometimes be required to pay a fee for using it.
Lost and Found
No one expects they’re going to have their wallet lost or stolen while traveling, but that’s just one of those things you can’t predict. Fortunately, you can protect yourself by keeping some cash at your hotel, just in case of an emergency.
Card Issues
Carrying cash along doesn’t necessarily mean you should ditch your card altogether. You should always travel with both, and cash can come in handy if your card ends up expiring or being suspended during your trip.
