Dive into the World of Albert Yang’s Landscape Photography

Though landscape photography is often magical by itself, every photographer has a personal story of how and why they choose certain places and scenes. Albert Yang, a landscape photographer whose work we’ll show you below, has his own story to tell.

“I wasn’t serious about photography until a trip to Hawaii in Jan 2017,” he says. “I kinda jokingly set the challenge for myself to take one good photo every day for 365 days in 2017 and that’s how it started. I truly enjoy being able to see such aesthetic beautiful spots and I take advantage of just about every sunset or sunrise I can get to.”

Angel's Landing is hands down my top 5 favorite hikes of all time. I did this hike during my first visit to Zion in 2017. The shuttle runs until 7PM and the sunset was 7:25PM. The closest place I could park my car was 6 miles away from the trailhead near the entrance of the park. Because it was my only day in Zion so I decided to just "send it" in order to watch the sunset. The hike was amazing, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous seeing from top of Angel's Landing. After I got back down to the trailhead it was already full dark. While preparing myself for a long walk back to the car, I saw a Porta Potty cleaning truck. Just thought I'd give it a shot so I asked them to give me a ride if possible. They said "If you're willing to wait for us to finish?". The truck saved me from walking additional 6 miles knowing I was planning on overnight driving all the way to Moab (5.5 hr drive from Zion). There are so many good people out there, sometimes all you need to do is ask for a favor✌️
