Discover the Beautiful Croatian City Of Porec

In the last decade, Croatia has been going through a renaissance and it slowly became one of the biggest summer destinations in Europe. In this article, we will give you a glance at one of the lesser-known cities on the Croatian coast that definitely should be explored by world travelers as it is one of the most beautiful places on this coast! 

The city of Porec is the second-largest urban area on the Istrian peninsula and one of the oldest settlements in the region. It’s almost 2,000 years old and its rich history is evident at first glance of this magnificent city.  

The first thing you should do upon arrival is take a stroll through the cobbled streets of the old town. The breathtaking architecture speaks volumes about the rich history of Porec and the many different influences from the Roman, Byzantine and Venetian empire are evident on every building you encounter.  

Also, while you’re there, don’t forget to visit the Euphrasian Basilica and the Church of Our Lady of Angel which are some of the most remarkable buildings in the city.
