Gin and Tonic

We have been intrigued for some time by the delectable sounding Tonka Gin. Hailing from Hamburg this German Gin is packed with flavour and versatility. Distilled in Schwechower distillery in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany there are 22 botanicals in total with the distinctive Tonka Bean & Vanilla being satisfyingly present as well as the other botanicals. On the nose this is very Juniper forward, surprisingly so given the presence of some sweeter botanicals, a few sniffs in and you pick up the deep tones of the Tonka Bean. To taste, well we were really excited to try, when we were thinking of a serve we opted for vanilla bean pie & raspberries, utterly delicious! We also paired with a Franklin & Sons light tonic water. The flavours really work well, what we like about Tonka Gin is that is has all the flavour hallmarks you would expect and want from a good gin with the added bonus of some more unusual ingredients. Again, the Juniper is very present, there is a slight spice which is then followed by a sweetness. Really very tasty. This is the perfect way for us to begin the weekend and raise a glass to you all! Enjoy enthusiasts! 🍸 @tonka_gin @franklinandsons #thegintomytonic

Even though just about everyone’s had one, they’re best in Spain. Most bars will have an array of different types of tonic, making it truly special.
Vermouth

This fortified wine is widely popular in Spain. Order it plain over ice, and you’ll look like a true Spaniard.
Sangria
Although it’s pretty touristy, Spain still has wonderful sangria, and a large variety as well.
